Busy intellectual property law office seeks a full-time office clerk to assist attorneys and staff, with potential for advancement to a patent assistant position. Qualified candidate must be team-oriented, have effective communication skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks are required, as well as a willingness to seek out responsibility and an ability to thrive in an environment where expectations are high. Office experience, patent experience, and a bachelors degree a plus, but not required.
General office support tasks include, but are not limited to, ordering supplies, pulling files, law book updates, filing, and answering telephones. Duties may also include preparation of patent documents and correspondence, downloading patents, and filing documents electronically with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
