Our client in the Entertainment industry is a marketing focused organization with ongoing initiatives to identify, enroll, track, and retain its extensive customer base – over 40 million rewards/loyalty members. Our client has a signature customer loyalty program supported by direct mail, loyalty surveys, award programs, special events as well as digital, OOH, and traditional advertising. In addition to these outward reaching customer initiatives the Marketing organization is responsible for acquiring world class entertainment across its many venues, managing and producing creative material, conducting special events and promotions, and provisioning retail stores located at each property. The Strategic Sourcing group works proactively with the Marketing organization to define marketing supply requirements and then source, implement and manage all marketing spend.   The Category Director – Marketing reports directly to the Portfolio VP – Marketing in the Strategic Sourcing group. The Category Director is responsible for the sourcing and contracting of approximately $500M in annual spend for marketing categories including advertising, print, direct mail, creative agencies, live entertainment and special events. Four marketing sourcing professionals work under the direction of the Category Director.     DIRECTLY SUPERVISES:   Category Manager – Marketing   Category Manager – Promotional Items   Category Manager – Print & Direct Mail     EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:   Technical Experience:   ·7+ years of experience in sourcing marketing related services for large marketing organizations   ·Direct experience in sourcing advertising (on-line and digital), media agencies, direct mail, printing, live entertainment, special events and/or promotional items   ·Experience with rewards programs   ·Seasoned sourcing professional with a proven ability to manage and deliver large cost savings and revenue enhancement initiatives in complex organizations   ·Consulting background or equivalent experience working with large multi-national marketing organizations is a plus     Educational Requirements   ·Bachelor’s degree is required.
