When it comes to credit repair, it does not matter who you hire, or how much you pay. These "credit repair companies" cannot guarantee you any specific set of results. You would get the same results if you were to attempt to repair your credit yourself.
The fact is. . . credit repair is a crap shoot. You might get a lot of items deleted, you might get a few items deleted, or might not get anything deleted. It's basically a game of chance. The longer you play, the more you win. It's that simple.
There is a chance that any item, be it charge-offs, bankruptcies, tax liens, or judgments, can be removed if successfully disputed.
Credit repair is nothing more than exercising your rights under the "Fair Credit Reporting Act" to dispute/challenge the accuracy of the information within your file. Simply put, the credit bureaus must verify the accuracy of a particular account or accounts upon your request.
When you hire a credit repair company, all they do is dispute this information for you with the credit bureaus on your behalf, and then charging you hundreds to thousands to do so. Now, why would you pay someone so much money to roll your dice for you, when you can play for free?
