# Matrix Question Field for Surveys | NeetoForm

Add a matrix field to your NeetoForm surveys to collect answers in a grid of rows and columns, with single or multiple answers allowed per row.

## Overview

The matrix field in NeetoForm lets you ask several related questions in one grid. Rows hold the items or questions and columns hold the options or rating scale, so respondents give an answer for each row. It is a compact alternative to a long series of separate multiple-choice questions.

To add one, search for Matrix under Elements. A default grid with two rows and two columns appears, and you can edit the question, description, rows, and columns from its properties. By default respondents pick one column per row. Turn on Multiple answers to let them select several. Matrix questions suit customer satisfaction surveys, course evaluations, and product sign-ups, such as asking which products someone wants at launch and which they want early access to.
