New features 🚀

Request recording

You can now request video recordings from customers or teammates directly from NeetoRecord. Send a recording request, and the recipient can record and submit their video through a simple interface. You'll also receive an email notification when someone submits their recording. This is useful for collecting customer feedback, video testimonials, or async updates from your team.

Tags for recordings

You can now add tags to your recordings for better organization. Tags make it easy to categorize and filter recordings, especially as your library grows. Whether you're organizing by project, team, or topic, tags help you find what you need faster.

Enhancements ✨

Video watch page revamp

The watch page has been given a whole new look. This includes an updated layout, redesigned player controls, and a new black background colour for a more immersive viewing experience — making the entire viewing experience feel cleaner and more polished.

Toolbar redesign

The recording toolbar on the desktop app is now more compact, and has a new look. The Chrome extension toolbar has also been updated to match the desktop app's design, giving you a consistent experience across both recorders.

Recording in MP4

The desktop app now records entirely in MP4 format. This means better compatibility across devices and platforms, and eliminates issues with format conversion during re-uploads.

Faster download speeds

We've improved video download performance, so downloading your recordings is now noticeably faster than before.

Bug fixes ⚒️

  • Fixed an issue where playback was stuttering every few seconds.

  • Fixed the play button not working on mobile devices.

  • Fixed speaker notes disappearing after discarding a recording on Windows.

  • Resolved an issue where custom-sized videos were corrupted in the desktop app.

  • Fixed transcripts still showing old content after editing a video and regenerating the transcript.

  • Fixed the search bar not returning results.

  • Fixed /embed video links not opening correctly.
