# Bulk Import Customers from CSV or Excel | NeetoDesk

Bulk import customer records into NeetoDesk from a CSV or Excel file, map columns to fields, and merge or skip duplicates before the import starts.

## Overview

Bulk customer import in NeetoDesk lets you add many customer records at once by uploading a single CSV or Excel file, instead of entering each contact by hand. Under Data, then Imports, in the Admin Panel, you upload the file, map its columns to the matching NeetoDesk fields, and review a preview of the customer data before starting the import.

Duplicate handling is built in. NeetoDesk can detect duplicates automatically, or you can pick a field to match on along with name, then choose to merge duplicates or skip them. Teams moving from another help desk, or loading a customer list from a CRM, use this to get contacts in place quickly with fewer errors. Every import appears in the import history.
