# How Neeto uses AI and your data

Read How Neeto uses AI and your data.

Some Neeto features use third-party AI models to save you time — transcribing
recordings, summarizing content, answering scheduling questions, and keeping
our platform free of spam. We know that "AI" on a subprocessor list raises a
fair question: *what exactly of my data is being sent, to whom, and what
happens to it there?* This page answers that question feature by feature.

## The short version

- **No training on your data.** Neeto does not use your data to train AI
models. Our AI providers are not allowed to use your data to train their
models either. There is no setting that turns this on; it simply cannot
happen. This commitment is part of our
  [Terms of Service](/legal/terms-of-service).
- **Data is sent to an AI provider only when you use an AI-powered feature.**
If you never use any AI feature, none of your data is sent to an AI
provider. The only exception is our automated spam screening. Because Neeto
offers a generous free tier, many spammers try to use our platform to send
spam emails. To protect our platform and our customers, we use AI (Google
Gemini) to check email content whenever you change it, to make sure the
content is not spam. If you prefer not to have your content sent to AI for
spam screening, please contact our support team before using the service. We
can verify your account and, if approved, you will be opted out of automated
  AI spam screening.
- **Only what the request needs.** When you use an AI feature, only the
content required for that specific request is sent — not your account
details, not your payment information, and not other data in your account.
- **Short, defined retention.** AI providers process each request individually
and retain your input very briefly, or not at all: OpenAI retains API data
for at most 30 days for abuse monitoring before deletion, and Google retains
Gemini API logs only for a limited period to detect policy violations.
- **The same contracts protect it.** AI providers act as subprocessors under
our [Data Processing Agreement](/legal/data-processing-agreement) and are
listed on our [Subprocessors](/legal/subprocessors) page. If we add or
replace an AI provider, you receive notice and may object, as described
  there.

## What each AI feature sends

| Feature | What is sent | AI provider | When data is sent |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Neeti (AI assistant for all Neeto products) | The messages you type to Neeti and the business context needed to answer them | Google Gemini | Only when you chat with Neeti |
| Recording transcription & AI summary (NeetoRecord) | The audio you ask to have transcribed and the transcript or text you ask to have summarized | OpenAI | Only when you request a transcription or summary |
| Workflow assistant and automation tools (all Neeto products) | The workflow details you type, used to suggest a name for the rule | OpenAI | Only when you build a workflow |
| Spam & abuse detection (all Neeto products) | Email content when you create or change it; public-facing pages such as public scheduling pages | Google Gemini | Automated (contact support to opt out) |

## Our AI providers do not use your data to train their models

- **OpenAI.** Data sent to the OpenAI API is not used to train OpenAI's
models. OpenAI retains API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days solely for
abuse monitoring, after which they are deleted. See
  [OpenAI's enterprise privacy commitments](https://openai.com/enterprise-privacy/).
- **Google (Gemini).** Under the Gemini API paid terms, Google does not use
prompts or responses to improve its products or train its models. Logs are
kept only for a limited period to detect violations of Google's Prohibited
  Use Policy. See the
  [Gemini API terms](https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms).
- **Anthropic.** As of the last update of this page, Neeto does not use any
Anthropic services. If that changes, we will update this page and our
  [Subprocessors](/legal/subprocessors) list first.

All data sent to AI providers is encrypted in transit using TLS.

## What Neeto does not do

Neeto does not use your bookings, messages, recordings, transcripts,
attachments, or any other Customer Data to train AI models. Our AI providers
are not allowed to use your data to train their models either. There is no
setting that turns this on; it is simply not something Neeto does. We do not
sell your data. AI-generated output from your data belongs to you, just like
the rest of your Customer Data.
