### New features 🚀

#### Generate action items from recordings

Recordings now have an [Action items](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/action-items) tab. Click Generate with AI and NeetoRecord pulls the action items out of the transcript, each one pinned to the moment it was mentioned and marked on the progress bar. Your list is your own — check items off, add your own, or edit them, and it won't be seen by anyone else.

#### Capture a screenshot from your recordings

You can now [capture a screenshot](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/capture-a-screenshot-from-a-recording) of any frame of a recording. Pause at the exact moment you want, capture it, and download the frame as an image.

### Enhancements ✨

#### UI migration

We migrated NeetoRecord to a new UI. Tables, buttons, dropdowns, and settings pages now have a cleaner and more polished look, and we smoothed out plenty of rough edges along the way.

#### Create recording requests via the API

You can now create a [recording request](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/request-a-recording) programmatically through the [public API](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/api-documentation), so you can ask for recordings from your own tools and workflows.

#### Control whether viewers see action items

A new viewer action control lets you decide whether viewers can [see the action items](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/hide-action-items-from-recordings) of a recording. Set it for the whole workspace or override it per recording, just like the other viewer controls.

#### Recordings are no longer indexed by search engines

Your recordings are [no longer indexed by search engines](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/search-engine-indexing). This covers watch pages, embedded players, and recording request pages — a link you share stays as private as you intended.

#### Smarter MCP tools

The [MCP](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/mcp) List tools now support sorting, and the screenshot tools return the captured frame directly to the AI agent, so agents can look at the frame right away.

#### Improved video player on mobile

The video player got a round of polish on mobile devices, making playback and its controls easier to use on smaller screens.

#### Clearer messaging when a transcript is regenerated

After you edit a recording, NeetoRecord now communicates clearly that the transcript is being regenerated and when it is ready.

#### Cleaner recordings list

The recordings list header takes up less space, so more of your recordings fit on the screen.

### Bug fixes ⚒️

- AI-generated transcripts, titles, and summaries now spell Neeto product names correctly.

- The desktop app on Windows no longer fails to auto-update with a rename error.

- The recording URL is copied to your clipboard as soon as a recording completes, as expected.

- The desktop app now stays in the background after a recording on Windows when "Keep NeetoRecord in the background" is enabled, instead of quitting.

- The playback rate button now works in full-screen mode.

- Sorting recordings in ascending or descending order works again.

- Copying a video link at the current timestamp works correctly, and the copy link options are available in full-screen mode.

- The "first time viewed" notification is now sent only when someone else views your recording — watching your own recording no longer counts.
