# Private Notes in Live Chat | NeetoChat

Add private notes to NeetoChat conversations that customers never see. Share context, record key details, and collaborate with teammates on chats.

## Overview

Private notes in NeetoChat let agents add internal comments to a live chat conversation. Notes are never shown to the customer, so your team can talk openly about the case, share context, and record decisions right next to the messages they relate to.

Agents use internal notes to record important details, explain why a refund was approved, or ask a colleague for input before replying. To add one, open a conversation, switch to Note in the messenger area, and add your text. You can also keep additional notes in the side pane for longer context that anyone picking up the chat later should read first.
