### New features 🚀

#### Upload your own camera background in the Chrome extension

You can now upload your own images and use them as your [camera background](https://roadmap.neetorecord.com/changelogs/upload-your-own-camera-background) in the Chrome extension. Pick one of your custom images from the camera settings and it appears behind you in the recording, just like the built-in backgrounds.

### Enhancements ✨

#### Recordings no longer clip your first and last words

A customer noticed that voice-overs could get slightly cut off when speaking right as a recording starts or ends. We tightened up how the Chrome extension starts and stops recordings, so what you say at the very beginning and the very end is captured — no more waiting a beat after the timer starts before you begin talking.

#### The desktop app remembers which screen you record

The desktop app now remembers your selected screen by its position. If you unplug a monitor and plug it back in — or dock and undock your laptop — the app recognizes the screen and keeps it selected, instead of treating it as a brand-new display and making you pick again.

### Bug fixes ⚒️

- Fixed an issue where the countdown could fail to appear when starting a recording in the desktop app.

- Fixed an issue where a recording could fail to start after the countdown finished in the desktop app.

- Fixed an issue in the editor where the waveform loading message disappeared even though the waveform had not loaded.

- Fixed an issue where Windows Smart App Control showed a "part of this app has been blocked" warning after installing the desktop app.
