Here's everything shipped in August 2026 in [NeetoRecord](https://neeto.com/neetorecord).

### New features 🚀

#### Emoji reactions on recordings

Viewers can now [react to your recordings with emoji](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/reacting-to-recordings-with-emoji). Each reaction is pinned to the moment it was made and shows up as a marker on the progress bar.

### Enhancements ✨

#### Chapters as sections on the progress bar

[Chapters](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/video-chaptering) now divide the progress bar into sections instead of appearing as single points on it, so the structure of a recording is visible at a glance. Hovering a section shows its title, the time, and a preview frame.

#### Improved memory optimization

We reworked how the desktop app handles memory and system resources during a capture, so recordings run reliably through long sessions. When one does end early, the app now reports the actual reason. See our [troubleshooting guide](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/troubleshooting-guide) for help.

#### A redesigned public watch page

The public watch page has moved to our new design system, with a cleaner header, a collapsible sidebar, and a theatre mode.

#### Editor timeline UI improvements

The editor timeline now shades the footage an edit will remove, so it is clear what applying the edit will do.

#### Zoom edits are now applied manually

[Zoom effects](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/adding-zoom-effects-to-recorded-videos) are staged like every other edit and saved only when you press Apply edits, so you can discard them and start over.

#### Titles are ready in seconds

[Titles](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/automatic-title-generation) are now generated from the opening audio while the recording uploads, and the share link is copied once the title is in place. Link previews in Slack, X and Teams show the real title.

#### One-click copy on the public watch page

The Share button on the public watch page now has a link icon beside it that copies the URL instantly.

#### MCP server updated to directory standards

Our [MCP server](https://help.neetorecord.com/articles/mcp) now meets the Anthropic Connectors Directory and ChatGPT Apps SDK requirements, so connecting NeetoRecord to an AI assistant is more dependable.

### Bug fixes ⚒️

- Tooltips in the video player are visible again in fullscreen, including chapter, comment and action item markers.

- Recording tags on the listing page show the colour configured in Manage Tags instead of always rendering black.

- A transcript that fails to produce real text now shows a proper empty state to public viewers rather than a page of punctuation.

- The scrub preview no longer draws behind comment and action item markers on the progress bar.
