# Custom Video Thumbnails | NeetoRecord

Upload your own JPEG or PNG thumbnail or pick any frame from the video. NeetoRecord also creates a thumbnail automatically for every recording.

## Overview

NeetoRecord lets you set a custom video thumbnail for any recording. By default, it creates a thumbnail automatically from the third second of the video. To change it, open the Basic info section and either upload your own JPEG or PNG image under 5 MB or select a specific frame from the video.

A clear thumbnail tells viewers what a video is about before they press play, which helps in shared links, embeds and your own recording library. Use a branded image for customer-facing demos, or pick the frame that best shows the topic. Uploaded external videos have no thumbnail by default, so adding one keeps them easy to recognize.
