You stay in control
- Your AI assistant uses your NeetoInvoice permissions. It can only access information and perform actions allowed by your role. For example, if you can only view your own time entries, your AI assistant cannot access the rest of your team's entries.
- You control what your AI assistant can do. Read access is always enabled. The Create and update permission allows it to log time, create invoices, and manage clients and projects. The Delete permission allows it to delete unbilled time entries, remove invoice recipients and project members, and deactivate team members. Leave both permissions disabled for read-only access.
- Billed time is locked. Once a time entry has been included in an invoice, it cannot be edited or deleted.
- Sending is a separate step. Creating an invoice doesn't email anyone unless you ask your AI assistant to send it. Your AI assistant can send invoices only to the billing contacts already associated with the client, plus an optional copy to you.
- You can disconnect at any time. Remove the NeetoInvoice connector from your AI assistant to revoke its access.
Sending an invoice triggers an email to your client. We recommend reviewing the invoice and its recipients before asking your AI assistant to send it.

Do I need to know what MCP is?
No. Connect NeetoInvoice to your AI assistant, sign in, and start asking questions in plain language.
Can AI mark an invoice as paid?
No. Your AI assistant can view, create, and send invoices, but payments must still be recorded directly in NeetoInvoice.
Can I give AI read-only access to NeetoInvoice?
Yes. Read access is always enabled. Create and update and Delete are separate permissions that you can choose to enable. Leave both unchecked to let your AI assistant view time entries and invoices without making changes.
Does NeetoInvoice MCP work on the free plan?
Yes. Both the NeetoInvoice MCP server and CLI are included in the free plan, along with all other NeetoInvoice features.
