Screen recording of connecting Cursor to NeetoChat. The neetochat server is pasted into ~/.cursor/mcp.json, Cursor restarts, and the NeetoChat sign-in page opens and is approved with Read and Stay connected allowed. Cursor then shows neetochat as connected with its tools.
Add the server, restart Cursor, and sign in to NeetoChat.

In the Cursor CLI, run cursor-agent mcp login neetochat once to sign in. Then ask from your terminal:

Terminal recording of the Cursor CLI connected to NeetoChat. Cursor is asked how many conversations are open. It reports the count grouped by theme and lists the ones that have waited longest for a reply.
The Cursor CLI answers from your NeetoChat data in the terminal.

Connect with an API key

An API key reaches the whole workspace, not only what you can see. It is not tied to a person, and role checks do not run.

Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then restart Cursor:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "neetochat": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://connect.neetochat.com/mcp/messages",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

Troubleshooting

Your AI assistant shows no NeetoChat tools

Restart Cursor after editing ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Check the MCP settings page shows neetochat as connected.

The connection is refused or unauthorized

With an API key, the header must read Bearer YOUR_API_KEY. With OAuth, remove and re-add the server to restart the sign-in.

More fixes are in the NeetoChat MCP troubleshooting guide.
